1/6 yard Fabric #1, white background with light sparse florals (#59141)
1/6 yard Fabric #2, white background with light/medium sparse florals (#59142)
1/6 yard Fabric #3, pale green background with light/medium florals (#59143)
1/6 yard Fabric #4, light green background with light/medium florals (#59144)
1/6 yard Fabric #5, medium green background with medium florals (#59145)
1/6 yard Fabric #6, medium green background with packed medium florals (#59146)
1/6 yard Fabric #7, dark green background with packed medium/dark florals (#59147)
1/6 yard Fabric #8, very dark green background with medium/dark florals (#59148)
1/6 yard Fabric #9, black background with medium/dark florals (#59149)
1/6 yard Fabric #10, black background with sparse florals (#59150)
1-3/8 yards black print, includes binding (#59112)
1-1/4 yards fabric for backing (includes enough fabric for a hanging sleeve)
40" x 40" quilt batting

Directions: (A 1/4" seam allowance is included in all measurements)
1. Cut the following number of 4" x 4" squares: Fabrics #1 & #10 cut two squares each, Fabrics #2 & #9 cut four squares each, Fabrics #3 & #8 cut six squares each, Fabrics #4 & #7 cut eight squares each, Fabric #5 cut ten squares and black fabric cut 50 squares.

2. Cut each of the 4" squares in half diagonally forming two triangles. Sew each black triangle to a floral triangle along the long edges.

3. Arrange triangles as shown in photo with the #1/black triangle sets in the middle working out to the #10/black triangle sets in the corners. Stitch squares into rows then sew rows together.

4. From black fabric cut four 1-1/2" x 44"strips, eight 2-1/2" x 44" strips. From Fabric #6 cut four 1" x 44" strips. (If using fat quarters of the floral fabrics cut eight 1" x 22" strips of Fabric #6 and piece them to make the four 1" x 44" strips.)

5. After each border addition press and then trim excess. Add borders in the following order: 1-1/2" black strips to right/left sides, 1-1/2" black strips to top/bottom, 1" Fabric #6 strips to right/left sides, 1" Fabric #6 to top/bottom, 2-1/2" black strips to right/left sides, 2-1/2"black strips to top/bottom.

6. Layer backing, batting and quilt top. Baste and quilt as desired.

7. Use remaining four 2-1/2" black strips to bind quilt.

NOTE: Try this with white fabric in place of the black fabric. Cutting is all the same. Just lay out blocks so the #10/white triangle sets are in the middle working out to the #1/white triangle sets in the corners! If you don’t want a white binding you'll need 1/3 yard extra of the #6 fabric.
