This version of "Trip Around the Garden" was made by Flossie Matuzak of Harrisville, MI over the summer of 2004. She purchased her Queen size kit of Watercolor by Number fabrics from Pockrandt's Fabrics & Gifts of Oscoda, MI. She substituted some pieces inside the quilt with the same fabric as the inside border. It was machine quilted by Ru th's Quilted Dreams in Harrisville, MI. Pictured with the quilt are its new proud owners: Dewey and Karen Holz of Filion, Michigan. Karen is Flossie's niece. The quilt was a presented to the couple as a 25th Wedding Anniversary gift. Karen wanted the floral quilt and Dewey wanted the wildlife backing; a real "his and her" quilt!
The quilt below was made by Joan Stanley at Bayview Calico's in AuGres, Michigan. It uses the #9 Watercolor by Number fabric in a pattern she found in Bethany Reynold's book Magic Stack-n-Whack (R) Quilts.
